State changes mosquito spraying notices
Information Courtesy of The News Journal June 19, 2015 by way of Carolyn Bray
The same state system that lets Delawareans know about weather-related school closings is being expanded to include notification of where and when mosquito spraying will take place.
It replaces the old email system that sent out statewide spray notifications and the older Listserv for spray notices from the Mosquito Control Section. The old and new systems don’t interface, so Delawareans who want to receive notice of spraying need to sign up for the new Spray Zone Notification System announcements at de.gov/mosquitospray prior to July 15.
People can get notification by specific area or statewide spraying. People will get notice of aerial insecticide applications for larval or adult mosquito control and planned truck-mounted fogging for adult mosquito control. The notices are delivered text, voice call and/or email.

Volunteers are still needed to fill the weeksof August 2-8 and August 16-22. We also need residents who can be contacted in case of a volunteer cancellation. Please review the duties and if you help, contact Wanda with your date preferences and your contact information. Volunteers keep our pool costs down. Click here for the pool duty guidelines. Please contact Wanda Raleigh at Wandanraleigh@msn.com  or 410-570-1226 to sign up for a week during the summer.

Mobile Patrol Security: If you have an emergency please call 911. You can then call the Bayside Security Patrol Dispatcher at 302-384-6542. From their vehicles, Bayside Security Patrol Officers monitor the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center. During normal business hours, please also report the incident to the HOA Property Manager, Jonathan Poole at SeaScape PM, 302-645-2222.
