Holiday Cocktail Party at Catch 54
Thursday, December 4th, 7:00 P.M. at 38931 Madison Ave. Fenwick Island
Refuge Holiday Cocktail Party at Catch 54. The top floor will be reserved for the Refuge holiday party. If there are more than 150 of us, they will close the entire restaurant. There will be an appetizer station and passed appetizers. Beverages will include coffee, tea and soda. A cash bar with Happy Hour will be offered throughout the evening. The Social Committee is hoping to have a Catch 54 gift certificate as a door prize. Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP) in Sussex County: Do you have time on your hands now that Summer is over? Have an interest in volunteering? The Senior volunteer program in Delaware, the largest senior volunteer program in the nation has many worthwhile opportunities. Annual Meeting 2014: The Refuge Annual Meeting on Saturday, October 11th was a well attended with more than 90 homes represented at the meeting. A vote was made to elect two of the three candidates running to fill the two vacant Board of Director seats. It is with great pleasure to announce that Martin Rosenhaft and Mohammad Akhter were both voted in to fill the two vacancies. The Refuge HOA Board of Directors are as follows: Jim Heinlein, President; Pat Rocco, Vice-President; Martin Rosenhaft, Treasurer; Carol Costante, Secretary; and Mohammad Akhter, Member at Large.
 
Some other items of business were: Ron Gray presented the plan for additional Townhomes and has asked the community to allow HOA ammenity access. A 2/3 majority of votes is needed for a change to the covenants to agree for the inclusion. More details will be available at a future meeting to be announced. AED Training sign up sheet. The Refuge will purchase an AED that will reside in the fitness center. The HOA will be providing training free of charge to those who would like to be trained. If you would like to be trained in how to administer AED and CPR please click on the contact us link on the left column and chose SeaScape Management. The Refuge Holiday Party at Catch 54, tickets at $25 per person are available contact Beth Rossiter. A complete recap will be posted in the minutes in the near future.

The Refuge at Dirickson Creek HOA 2015 Long Term Reserve Study. The Delaware State required update to the HOA long Term Reserve (LTR) Report has been completed. Please click here in order to review the report and also to see how this affects the Reserve portion of your dues payments.
 
Volunteers Needed: American Cancer Society, Relay For Life "Team Refuge" is planning their Fall event, the Zombie Jamboree, on Saturday, October 25th at Harpoon Hanna's. Volunteers are needed. If you can help, call or e-mail Kate Natale (302-436-7073 or Joann Waysz (215-828-5521.
 
Ponds and Waterways: Please note, no yard waste should be disposed of into the ponds. Also no one is permitted to use the ponds or fishing or swimming. Envirotech maintains the health of the ponds and adjusts for algaecide dispersement. 
 
Mobile Patrol Security:  If you have an emergency please call 911 you can then call the Bayside Security Patrol Dispatcher at 302-827-2488. If you have a non-emergency please notify one of the members of the Security Committee. Please also report the incident to the HOA Property Manager, Jonathan Poole at SeaScape PM, 302-645-2222.
