The Refuge HOA Pool will open for swimming on Friday, May 27, 2016. Due to the recent expense in refinishing the pool deck, please do not move the tables, and please lift the chaises and chairs if you need to move those. This will help to not scrape the new finish. Thank you in advance. You may want to scan your access key at the clubhouse in advance of May 27 so that you can be sure that it will grant you access to the pool when it opens on Friday, May 27.
IN MEMORIAM: At the last quarterly meeting the Board passed a motion to create a site on the Refuge website to be called “In Memoriam”. It will allow the HOA to acknowledge the passing of our Refuge neighbors, offering condolences and providing funeral arrangements, if known. Postings will only be included if requested by the immediate family, preferably by sending an email to the Board using the Contact Us feature on the website. All notices will be treated discretely and respectfully and will remain on the website for a period not to exceed 12 months. Refuge neighbors will have to logon to the website in order to view the In Memoriam site.

From Master Corporal Gary Fournier with the Delaware State Police Public Information Office.
Over the past few weeks, the Delaware State Police has seen an increase in thefts from vehicles at over a dozen locations in the Rehoboth area. Suspects entered vehicles stealing items and rummaging through unsecured vehicles. Stole items ranging from purses to electronic devices, and cash. In most of these cases the vehicles were parked in the victim’s driveways and were unsecured. The Delaware State Police urge people to utilize the following tips:
  • Lock your car doors and roll up you windows
  • Do not leave valuables inside your vehicle
  • Leave outdoor lights on in the driveway or have security lighting installed
  • Report any suspicious activity to 9-1-1 immediately
Household Battery Recycling
As part of The Refuge commitment to going green, the Board of The Refuge HOA has approved to provide a receptacle to recycle household batteries.  Please see the Notice and Attachment  for more information.
Mobile Patrol Security: If you have an emergency please call 911. You can then call the Bayside Security Patrol Dispatcher at 302-384-6542. From their vehicles, Bayside Security Patrol Officers monitor the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center. During normal business hours, please also report the incident to the HOA Property Manager, Jonathan Poole at SeaScape PM, 302-645-2222.
