Only 3 miles from the ocean, centrally located in lower Delaware, and situated close to Ocean City attractions to the south with Bethany and Rehoboth beaches to the north. The Refuge is a community of customized single-family homes and townhomes.

The Refuge is predominantly comprised of full-time residents of all ages. Neighborhood amenities include meeting room, pavilion, and playground. Activities abound with a fitness center pool, with adjacent children's pool. Tennis, Pickleball, Bocci, Corn Hole, and basketball courts join hands with resort favorites – and of course, there is the lure of the ocean only 3 miles away. The Refuge is a very friendly, socially active, and an environmentally conscious community.

The Refuge Homeowners' Association is a non-profit organization whose members share only the common bonds that they own homes in The Refuge community and desire to maintain and improve the community in which they've chosen to live.
