Welcome to The Refuge at Dirickson Creek! More than a destination, a community should be welcoming and also inspire residents toward common goals. We encourage all residents to be involved in making The Refuge the best it can be to benefit us all. Our community’s website is intended to serve as a comprehensive resource for current and potential residents, and for the public.

Letter from Refuge at Dirickson Creek HOA President Martin Rosenhaft and Updated HOA Rules and Regulations.
Thank you to all residents who joined us for the Caribbean Pool Party: On Sunday August 28, the Refuge neighbors enjoyed a night of dancing and music with DJ Sky Brady.  The pool was decorated with a Caribbean Theme that transported everyone to the Islands.  The Adult Pool Party was attended by 111 Refuge neighbors, with the participants providing scrumptious appetizers and desserts to share with each other.  The 50/50 was won by Joy Gryder. A tropical night with fun, fellowship and music was had by all. The Board of Directors extends a hearty Thank You to the Refuge Social Committee for all the work in the planning and producing of the event.
ENVIRO-ALERT - From Envirotech Environmental Consulting: Due to extreme high temperatures and the lack of precipitation, many ponds in the region are drawing down and benthic (pond bottom) soils are being exposed. This may be aesthetically unpleasing and may generate concern from community members. Because most stormwater retention ponds do not have pond fill wells or natural ground water inputs, they rely on surface water runoff for a hydrology source, and because evaporation rates are extremely high this time of the year, ponds are drawing down. This is a natural process and the water levels will be restored once significant rain events occur again.
Mobile Patrol Security: If you have an emergency please call 911. If you see someone acting suspiciously or who may be trespassing, please also report this to the Bayside Security Patrol Dispatcher at 302-384-6542 so that they will have a record of the incident. From their vehicles, Bayside Security Patrol Officers can monitor the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center. During normal business hours, please also report the incident to the HOA Property Manager, Jonathan Poole at SeaScape PM, 302-645-2222.
The Refuge at Dirickson Creek Entrance Signs: The woodwork surrounding The Refuge at Dirickson Creek Entrance Signs have been pressure washed and will soon be sanded in order to remove the original finish. They will then be stained with a quality material. This process will take several weeks. Thank you for your patience as we perform this necessary maintenance in order to preserve and protect the signage.
We Need Your Help! The recently formed Maintenance Committee needs your help! We have set up a dedicated section on the website, on the Message Board, called “Suggestions for Maintenance Committee” (at the top of the topic list) that is available to all homeowners.
