Neighborhood News
Announcement:  Children’s pool will be closed until Friday, May 29th
Everything appeared to be in order when Coastline Pools removed the pool cover from the children’s pool last week, but when they started to fill the pool, plaster separated from the bottom.   For the safety of the children, we are closing and repairing the pool.  The pool cannot be patched.  We need to remove and re-plaster the entire children’s pool.  The large pool was done a few years ago, but at that time we were advised that the children’s pool was in good condition and since that time there hasn’t been any sign of any problem.   Coastline has told us the repair will be completed by Friday, May 29th. The Board of Directors apologizes for any inconvenience to you on this holiday weekend.  Children with proper swimmies may be accompanied by an adult in the large pool. The amenity cleaning contractor requests that guests with small children please place soiled diapers in one of the outdoor trash cans and not inside the cans in the restrooms. This will help with the air quality in the restrooms.

Family Fun Day: May 30 at 5 pm at the pool. Join fellow "Refugees" for the Second Annual Family Fun Day with great food and fun games for the whole family. Be sure to sign up for the Second Annual Cornhole Tournament when you check in. Click Here to for more information. Tickets much be purchased by May 25. Keep an eye here for any updates. See you on May 30th!!

Picking up after your pets has now become easier. Pet waste bags are located near the tennis courts and at the Club House parking lot near the bike racks. Please pick up your dog waste and dispose of it appropriately in a trash container.

Volunteers are still needed to fill weekly shifts to check the pool area at closing time. The 2015 pool season will begin May 22. Wanda Raleigh has agreed to chair the pool committee this year. If you aren't already aware, the committee chair keeps a list of residents who each volunteer for 1 week for pool duty at the end of each day before the pool closes at 9:00 PM. Volunteers are needed for the following weeks: July 5-11, August 2-8, August 16-22 and August 23-29 . Thank you for those who have already volunteered, but more are needed. We also need residents who can be contacted in case of a volunteer cancellation. Please review the duties and if you help, contact Wanda with your date preferences and your contact information. Volunteers keep our pool costs down. Click here for the pool duty guidelines. Please contact Wanda Raleigh at Wandanraleigh@msn.com  or 410-570-1226 to sign up for a week during the summer.

An Open Letter to the HOA Members:
