WE NEED YOUR HELP! The newly formed Maintenance Committee needs your help! The Committee has been tasked with taking a proactive approach to identifying issues with the infrastructure of the Refuge that needs or will need attention. The Committee will work closely with the Property Management Company to gather information, create specifications, identify qualified contractors, get quotes and prioritize the work that needs to be done. They will report to the Board periodically on new items and also on the status of work-in-progress for on-going projects. Since being formed, the Committee, consisting of Ed Waysz (Chair), Chuck Eary, and Bob Isennock, has been working on such issues as the replacement of sidewalk sections that have been damaged by weather or by wayward tree roots, investigating issues with our gutters and roads, working to repair certain pool structures and equipment, and identifying various potential improvements for the exercise and card rooms in the clubhouse.
But they can’t do it all by themselves! The Committee asks that all Refuge homeowners be on the look-out for areas around the neighborhood that may require maintenance attention.  We have set up a dedicated section on the website, on the Message Board, called “Suggestions for Maintenance Committee” (at the top of the topic list) that is available to all homeowners. If you see something, small or large, please do not hesitate to make an entry here, including as much information as you can provide (location, nature of problem, etc.). Safety issues are a priority, of course. The Committee will automatically be notified of any entries and will respond accordingly.
The Maintenance Committee, with your help, will play an important role in keeping the Refuge safe and enjoyable for all of us.
Mobile Patrol Security: If you have an emergency please call 911. You can then call the Bayside Security Patrol Dispatcher at 302-384-6542. From their vehicles, Bayside Security Patrol Officers monitor the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center. During normal business hours, please also report the incident to the HOA Property Manager, Jonathan Poole at SeaScape PM, 302-645-2222.
